Why I should register my Open Group License with Shepherd's House?
Registering your Restarting Open Group License with Shepherd's House is easy. You can print the license form, fill it out with your license number and information and mail it to Shepherd's House. When you register you are eligible for a 15% discount on the Restarting Workbooks and a 25% discount on the Restarting Home DVD. You will need your license number to receive these discounts.
If you buy the Restarting Program Kit you will need to register your license in order to receive your consultation with Ed Khouri. You will also use the number to receive your Free upgrade on the Facilitator Training DVD when it is released.
While it is not part of registering your license, we also encourage you to click the link above and listing your Restarting or Belonging group location with us. We will use this information to help people in your area find your group.
We have discussion forums where you can also post your activities and discuss Thriving with other leaders. We encourage you to visit, join and post.

Restarting Facilitators
Careful directions for facilitators on how to prepare for a Restarting group can be found in the Restarting Workbook on pages 163-171. You will need to read those pages carefully and follow the instructions for your own preparation and that of you church or group. We want – and you need – for this experience to change you as a facilitator as much as it changes those who go through the program. Obviously the best way is to go through Restarting and the rest of the course twice before you try leading. Most of the time this will not be possible because you are starting a program where there has not been one before. Still, you can only train others from what you have learned yourself.
Look through the full set of videos and study the workbook. If you have questions about your specific location we suggest that you schedule a consultation with Ed Khouri and his consultants. Ed and Maritza were central to the development of Restarting and Thriving. They have experience in churches, jails, rehabilitation programs and are international trainers in addiction recovery. If you are not sure yet that you want to do the Restarting program then buy the Restarting Home License version and a Restarting workbook and go through the teaching. You can learn the Immanuel Process directly from materials developed by Dr. Karl Lehman. We suggest that you go through his materials, videos and conferences whenever you can and visit his website www.kclehman.com. You will also want to study the Life Model on the www.lifemodel.org site for the theory behind Thriving. From there you will want to see the brain skills training we use at that www.thrivetoday.org site. Each of these sites has many resources for your growth and together they represent thousands of pages of free downloads and hundreds of hours of media.It has come to our attention that there is a worksheet missing from the Restarting Workbook from Chapter 9. You can download the Level 4+ Healthy Interdependence worksheet here and then print it out for your groups.

Thriving modules depend upon the Immanuel Process as developed by Dr. Karl and Charlotte Lehman and applied to groups by Jim Wilder. Learning the Immanuel Process is necessary for every Thriving facilitator.
